Spring Work and Painting Silk

Today I will pick up where I left off yesterday and continue purging and rearranging. Nearly spring seems like a good time to get the house in order and work on the general flow of it. Tait says I'm just like my mother and constantly moving things around. I'm not just like her. I honestly don't do it nearly as much as she does, but I like to keep working it til it works just right for us.

On Friday our friends come over and we made silk fairies. I'm becoming a little obsessed with painting the silks. Watercolors will wash out so they're not suitable for play silks, but they make lovely puppets and floaty dolls and my silks for curtains came so I'm super excited to paint them! I'll try to share the fairies in a day or so and I have a puppet to put in the shop, so stay tuned and have a beautiful Monday!

I have those paints!
Did you know that they replaced the grey paint? I bought a new set specifically for said grey paint only to find something else in it's place. Grr to Crayola and change.

My youngest discovered watercolors on Friday. Or was it Thursday? Either way, it was a mess. He painted a gnome, paper, the table, the chair, the floor, his legs, the side of his face - all without leaving his seat. But he had a blast. Well, until I went to clean him up, that is. (:
I've got the urge to purge lately too! I'm going through my movies and books and weeding out things I don't love. I've decided that just being a good movie or book is not criterion enough for me to own it -- I need to love it. Making progress this way! Hoping it helps me unpack the last few boxes too.
Yep, I've got that purge urge too. I think I'm actually going to take time off of work so that I can do it. And I will LOVE each of those vacation days spent purging, cuz, man, does it ever feel good to get rid of stuff!
doing the same thing here, spring cleaning. it feels good to have bags ready for donation.

have fun with your painting!
