Can we all inhale deeply now and breathe a nice big sigh of, ahhhh. Spring, you've finally come! My girls are presently ringing in the Equinox with rooster crows since the window is open and Mr. Rooster is deafening. 'Who's louder, Mama? Me or him?' The ladies are laying like crazy, the mint and oregano have popped up the first of their green offerings and yesterday I pulled out all of the warm weather clothes and packed away our winter wear. Once again, inhale deeply and, ahhhhhhhhh!
Your kitchen counter and mine look much alike! I have two kinds of tomatoes, lettuce, snapdragons, lavender, and mint started there. And two carrot plants that the kids planted in here instead of out in the garden with the rest of the carrots. Everything but the lavender is up!
I'd never seen egg seedlings before, but I love the idea! Do you just crunch up the egg shell when you plant them for extra calcium, then? Wouldn't work for plants you don't want to neutralize, like tomatoes, but for other stuff, I love it!
I've never done lavender before, and was wondering why it was being pokey. Though really, I just planted them on Thursday, so I should be more surprised that the snapdragons are up than that the lavender isn't.
