Meltdown Monday Giveaway

Comments on this giveaway are now closed.

Happy Monday, everyone! I've got a full week of Eater crafting planned and really can't wait. It's just something about pastel crafts, I suppose. Right now you can also find me sharing a tutorial for a little Easter egg stuffer I made for the girls, over on the Natural Kids blog.

But here I am presenting you with a new giveaway (check the Tiptoe Lightly post for those winners). This week it's coming from Heather, of Ozark Mountain Mama. Heather sews shorts, shirts, diapers and unders with 100% organic cotton. Let's get to know Heather a bit now.

Hi and welcome to Meltdown Monday! Tell us a little about yourself so we can get to know the person behind the work.
Hi! I'm Heather, WAHM to 5 beautiful kids and wife to my best friend :) We live in the Ozark Mountains in a small cabin we've built (and are still building!) ourselves. We moved here 5 years ago in an attempt to get back to a simplier life, where our days revolved around our children and doing the things we find important/fullfilling in life :) We homeschool, and both my husband and myself work part time from home.

What inspires your creations?
The inspiration behind this line of clothing was simple. Simple, comfortable, organic pieces, that can be mixed and matched and are affordable enough to do so! I've long been a supporter of organic fabric for a wide variety of reasons, but have found that on a tight budget, with multiple kiddos to clothe, it's been a hard task to accomplish. There are lots of great companies with super cute organic clothing, but I usually couldn't afford it unless it was used or on major clearance! I've been sewing clothing for a few years now, for our family and others, with great success, so, I decided to take the "plunge" and purchase wholesale bolts of organic knits. They've been dyed here in my home by me, and sewn into what I hope will be a comfortable staple for your child's summer wardrobe :)

How do you balance 'making' with mothering?
Balancing is something that varies for me from day to day. Some days everyone is happy and playing outdoors and I get tons done, and other days I just move from one problem to the next it seems! I've learned to just relax, and know that if I can't get it done today, I'll probably be able to tomorrow. My husband has also just recently taken a really active role in my business, helping whenever he can, and that's made a world of difference!

Today Heather would like to offer one winner one 100% Organic interlock cotton short sleeved tee, available in 3 colors and 13 different sizes! This is a loose fitting raglan style tee that runs true to size. All seams and hems are serged for durability and a long life.

OK, so to enter leave me a comment. You can let me know how your Monday is going or, better yet, tell me how you beat the dreadful Meltdown Monday or just say hi. Whatever.

Nothing crazy going on here this morning. Hubby is off today so I am sure we are going to be busy getting a few projects done.

Let's see. Monday started last night, right? The Beast went to bed after 1am. B did something funky to the alarm clock and got up late for work. The Beast woke up fifteen minutes after that (six hours of sleep? Really?) and the Imp followed half an hour later.

Despite my oatmeal being eaten at room temperature while holding the Beast, my coffee was hot. I am determined to see my way through the fatigue and make this Monday a good one. It helps that a huge box of yarn is on it's way to me. And that B ordered a spinning wheel for me yesterday! These are the happy thoughts that will get me through - that and lavender soda. And probably some cheese scones. (:

My Monday was hectic. To top off the jumbled up day, I could not sleep at all. It was 4:30 in the morning before I went to sleep. Needless to say, I slept in today.

just ordered my girl a t shirt from her, too cute.

Checking in a few days late as Monday was no fun. No internet all day and running around to find out if it was my laptop or the data transmission from the mobile company. .

Lovely T-s!
