LinkLinkOh, yes! My mother says they're not really vegetables. What a thing so say! They're so crisp and delicious. Maybe one of these days I'll stop eating them all right away and pickle them. Yeah.. sure!

Also, you can find me here today.

By the way, have you entered to win this gorgeous purse, yet?

Homemade ice cream. I started making it this year because Kaiya is allergic to dairy. And, I must say, mine is way better than store-bought dairy free ice cream.
Good to the last slurp!

Btw, have you entered to win this sweet knitted doll, yet?

Banana sandwiches. It isn't summer in our house without them. We make ours with just bananas and mayo. Dukes, to be precise. Gotta be Dukes.

Cobbler. Any kind will do.
It seems cobbler recipes and types vary from family to family. We make ours this way;

Set oven to 400.
Melt one stick of butter in a 13" pan.
Mix 2 cups self-rising flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 1/4 cup milk.
Mix 4 (or more) cups fruit with 1 cup sugar.

Pour the batter into the pan, over the butter and then pour the fruit over that.
Bake for about 45 minutes or until topping has risen over the fruit (mostly) and is golden.

Top with butter or vanilla ice cream if desired and enjoy the fruits of summer!

In case you're wondering, yes, she did end up dunking that poor little kitten into the pool. Should have seen that one coming.
